The Winter Sea
It’s a cold rain coming down on a sage green sea. It isn’t cold enough yet to make beautiful floating snowflakes. It is just wet, the kind of chilled dampness that gets into your bones.
But it is still so beautiful and surprisingly colorful. Against the backdrop of grayed aquamarine, the yellow ochre of the sea grass is more pronounced. Two seagulls glow bright white against the glasslike water as it shifts from icy blue to pale jade green all within five minutes of quiet.
Until next time,
This month I will be donating 10% of my sales to the Sag Harbor Food Pantry who have been lovingly providing food to those in need since 1987.
