The sapphire, lime and cerulean of my palette creates a positive emotional charge whether it’s in the curve of a realistic wave, or in the arc of a rounded form.
You can see that the abstract paintings draw from my many years as a landscape painter. They rely my love and passion for the seaside here in the Hamptons. The circular shapes seem to refer to my awareness of living on a planet that is suspended in space. These are large studio paintings where the possibilities of working with oil paint in new ways is thrilling.
You can see these new works at Romany Kramoris Gallery, 41 Main Street in Sag Harbor starting June 17-July 7. Please come to the reception June 18, 4-5:30.
