“Bait Nets on a Blue Bay” by Casey Chalem Anderson oil on wood 24 x 24

Do you have to remind yourself to slow down? I know I do.  I have a blunt reminder to check my pace when I leave my home every day.  I back out of my driveway, ride to the end of the road and 20 feet directly in front of me is the bay.

An official red stop sign on my right blares in case I don’t get the message to stop and take a breath.  If I continue to go straight, I’ll be in the water.

I let the magical beauty of the sea enter and instantly my pace is reset to the proper setting.

Until next time,

Casey
