“The Birthday Wave”

Now that the winds have blown in the seasonably cool air, a trip to the ocean sounds positively chilling. But we still need it. We need the ocean to prove to ourselves that we can own the world of beauty. We need the ocean to experience the vast power that it holds in the racing foam and thundering roar.
The ocean is where you can separate from the rest of the world and connect to something much larger than yourself.
This little jewel of a painting was a recent commission, a perfect birthday gift the client gave to herself. Each time she looks at it, she will be reminded of what the ocean means to her, and how throughout her entire life the ocean has been her place of peace.
