“Salt and Color” by Casey Chalem Anderson 30 x 40 inches oil/canvas

A wide sweep of mixed greens dotted with pools of salty blue water is one of the most treasured sights to view here on the East End of Long Island.  This is a brand new painting made in the studio. I used a photo for reference but it is the memory of this spectacular view that fueled my entire way.

Every year I wait eagerly for the green grasses of the salt marsh to return and turn the dull gray-brown to vivid lime. By June it happens and on a perfectly buy lorazepam 2.5 mg clear day like this one, it is truly glorious.

I hope this message finds you all taking good care of yourselves.  As my Dad used to say, “be cool”. He meant, be aware that your mission is to keep your composure so you can deal with anything that comes up in the smartest most effective way. When I get ruffled I remember that I must practice what I learned from him.
